1. Who we are
Living Eternity is an Australian sole-trader business operated by Michael J. Simmons, ABN 94 942 331 265, based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
We aim to handle personal information transparently, respectfully and in accordance with applicable Australian privacy law and good privacy practice.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with Living Eternity, we may collect information such as:
- your name, email address and telephone number;
- postal, delivery or billing details where needed for an order;
- order, purchase, payment-status and transaction records;
- booking details, meeting preferences and calendar information;
- messages, enquiries, feedback and other information you choose to send us;
- information connected with podcast, media or collaboration enquiries; and
- technical information generated when you use the website, such as IP address, browser, device, pages viewed and similar usage information where collected by our website or service providers.
Sensitive or highly personal information
Living Eternity does not actively seek sensitive information through ordinary website interactions. Because the project deals with spirituality, reflection and personal conversation, you may choose to share information about your beliefs, experiences or personal circumstances. Where you voluntarily provide that information, we will use it only as reasonably necessary to respond to you or provide the service you requested, and will handle it with additional care.
3. How we collect personal information
We may collect personal information when you:
- email, call, message or otherwise contact Living Eternity;
- purchase a signed edition or use our online store;
- book a conversation or meeting;
- make a Pay It Forward payment or recurring payment;
- submit a podcast, media, collaboration or business enquiry;
- interact with our website, embedded media or linked services; or
- deal with one of our service providers in connection with Living Eternity.
We generally collect information directly from you. In some cases, we receive transaction, booking or contact information from a service provider you have chosen to use in connection with Living Eternity.
4. Why we collect and use it
We may use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and communicate with you;
- process, fulfil and support orders;
- arrange bookings, meetings and online conversations;
- administer Pay It Forward payments and recurring support;
- manage podcast, media and collaboration enquiries;
- operate, protect, troubleshoot and improve the website and services;
- maintain business, tax, accounting and transaction records;
- prevent fraud, misuse and security incidents; and
- comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
5. Payments, bookings and service providers
Living Eternity uses third-party platforms to operate parts of the website and provide services. These providers may collect or process personal information under their own privacy policies and terms.
Payments and store transactions
Payments may be processed through PayPal and store services associated with our e-commerce platform. Where a payment provider collects your card or bank details, those details are generally provided directly to that provider rather than to Living Eternity. We may receive information such as your name, contact details, delivery details, transaction reference, amount paid and payment status.
Bookings and online meetings
Booking and meeting arrangements may use services including TidyCal, Google Calendar and Google Meet. Information required to arrange the booking may therefore be processed by those providers.
Website, media and infrastructure
Our website, online store and media may use technology and hosting providers including DashNex / MyEcomShop and Cloudinary. Those services may process technical information needed to deliver pages, media, security and related functionality.
External retailers and websites
Some links take you to third-party websites, including Amazon. If you choose to purchase or interact on an external website, that website's privacy policy and terms apply to the information you provide there.
6. Cookies and technical information
Our website and service providers may use cookies, logs and similar technologies for essential site operation, security, performance, remembering preferences and understanding how the site is used.
You can usually control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking certain cookies may affect how parts of the website function.
If we introduce additional analytics, advertising or marketing technologies that require a separate notice or choice under applicable law, we will update our practices and this policy as appropriate.
7. Email and direct marketing
If you choose to receive updates from Living Eternity, we may use your contact details to send relevant news, releases, invitations or project updates. We will provide a way to unsubscribe from commercial electronic messages and will respect valid unsubscribe requests.
Contacting us, buying a book or making a Pay It Forward payment does not by itself mean that you have agreed to receive unrelated ongoing marketing.
8. Overseas processing and disclosure
Some of the technology, payment, booking, cloud and communication providers used by Living Eternity operate internationally. As a result, personal information may be stored, accessed or processed outside Australia in countries where those providers, their related companies, infrastructure or service personnel are located.
The locations used by global service providers can change. Where Australian privacy law requires us to do so, we will take reasonable steps in relation to overseas disclosure and handling of personal information.
9. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps appropriate to a small online publishing and creative business to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for legitimate business needs, or to meet legal, accounting, tax, security or dispute-resolution requirements. When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete, destroy or de-identify it where appropriate.
Automated decisions
Living Eternity does not itself use personal information to make substantially automated decisions that could reasonably be expected to significantly affect an individual's rights or interests. Third-party payment, fraud-prevention or technology providers may use automated processes under their own policies.
10. Accessing or correcting your information
You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you, request access to it, or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
We may need to verify your identity before giving access or making a correction. There may be circumstances where access cannot lawfully or reasonably be provided; if so, we will explain the position where appropriate.
Send requests to [email protected].
11. Privacy questions and complaints
If you have a privacy question, concern or complaint, please contact Living Eternity first at [email protected]. Please provide enough information for us to understand and investigate the issue.
We will consider the matter and respond within a reasonable time. If the Australian Privacy Act applies to the matter and you are not satisfied with our response, you may also be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, services, providers or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with its effective or last-updated date.
If we make a material change that significantly affects how we handle personal information, we will take reasonable steps to make the change clear.
